Our mission is to serve young people and their families by providing a safe and
positive environment for individuals to maximize their potential. We want every one of
our cheerleaders to come out of the program better than they were coming in. Whether it
be improved physical fitness and cheerleading skills, a better understanding of what it
takes to be a successful member of a team, increased self-confidence or just friendships
and memories that will last a lifetime. It is our sincere hope that we can develop these
life skills and more, all in a fun and positive environment.
Cheerleading is a huge part of sporting events at all levels of play. When athletes need encouragement and fans need entertainment, cheerleaders can take your sports experience to another level because they add excitement and spirit to any Game Day!
Our program aims to develop each athlete mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially. Northern Kentucky Bengals Youth Cheer is focused on teaching cheer skills and the foundations needed for the next level of cheerleading.
Metika has been cheering since elementary school. Metika cheered throughout high school for McCreary Central High School in Stearns KY. During that time she was a Varsity cheerleader and competed in State and National CANAM Cheer Competitions. Metika was invited to cheer in college at Lindsey Wilson College in Colubmia KY. Unfortunately after a severe ACL injury and three surgeries, her cheerleading career had to end. After HS Metika choreographed for the McCreary Central Dance Team. She coached in Lexington KY for a competitive youth cheerleading squad while she was in college. This is Metika's third year as Cheer Director for the NKY Bengals. She looks forward to continuing to expand the squad's ability and exposure. She is excited for the day when her daughter (currently three years old) can join the squad.
SiRye is a proud native of Denver Colorado. This will be her second year as a coach with the NKY Bengals Cheer Program. She has cheered since she was 5 years old and cheered competitively since she was 13 years old. In high school she cheered all four years on Varsity at Smoky Hill high school who placed top 10 at UCA nationals each year. She then attended Langston University on a full ride cheerleading scholarship. After suffering an injury her cheer career ended as a sophomore in college and she began her journey as a coach. She started off coaching the Park Hill Falcon little league cheer team in Colorado, and soon after returned to her high school as a volunteer coach for the Varsity team. After relocating to Kentucky she found a home with the NKY Bengals and they have been family ever since! She can't wait to see all of our returning cheerleaders and meet all the new members of our family joining us from the Hawkeyes!
Noelle started dance and gymnastics at the age of 3. At five years old she began cheering for the local football team and for a Star Athletics All Star Cheer squad. This early start and dedication drove Noelle to exceed all expectations when it came to cheer. She had her back hand spring at just SIX years old! By age 10, Noelle was a JR Coach for Star Athletic and by age 13 had become one of the main coaches for the younger squad. She has cheered Varsity basketball all four years of her high school career and earned the Captain title her senior year. She cheered in college at William Paterson University. Noelle finds teaching younger kids empowering and hopes to open her own gym. Noelle is relocating to KY from NJ and is so excited to meet everyone!
